Disassembled My IMac To Clean Fan and When I Turned It Back On it was a completely black screen but I can hear sounds

my IMac fan was starting to blow really loud and it hadn’t been clean in the 4 years since we had it so I watched a IFIXIT tutorial and everything was going well until I tried to turn it on. The screen is black, however I can hear the sound of it booting up and when I tried to put my password in I can hear that’s it’s on. Please Help 🫠, I’m gonna attach a picture of the inside of it because I’m not sure if something broke

If you don’t mind me asking what’s the display?

That would be the 27” diagonal electronic assembly that normally plugs that great big hole shown in the photo.

Bring the parts into an Apple Authorized Service Provider and they might be willing to troubleshoot this.

While you’re having them fix this, maybe also ask them to replace that HDD with an SSD, if you’re feeling at all spendy.

Is it any of these two? And if not could you circle it, also would I be able to fix it at home

Whether this is a connector issue, cable issue, a static-damaged electrical component, something wrong with the display assembly, or otherwise? You’re going to have to figure that out, and maybe try some swaps. You are far closer to this iMac than we are, and have a far better view of the state of its parts than we do.
