Hello Friend,

I'm sorry to hear that your having trouble with your MacBook Air.

Here are some suggestions that I hope you find useful!

  1. Firstly I suggest reseting your iCloud password by selecting "reset password."
  2. If you suspect that there's something physically/internally wrong with your Mac I suggest contacting Apple directly.

I hope these tips helped. If not, your best bet would be contacting Apple support (Here for Australia), (Here for North America), (Here for UK), Alternatively search for your countries "Apple Support."

Good Luck,

I hope you enjoy your new Mac when everything's all fixed!

You start a new Mac by lifting the lid. You can also press the power button.

If your new Mac doesn't startup, return it for a full refined. Apple gives you 14 days to do that. After that it's a warranty issue.

If it's requiring a password at initial startup, you don't have a new Mac. You have used Mac that was not properly setup for resale. Again, return it to whomever you bought it from and have them make it right.

This is the proper setup for resale: What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support
