Location sharing "live" view, satellite and refresh gone with ios17?

Is there any way to bring back the share location live/satellite and refresh view like it was before IOS17? So many people use this to keep watch on their family, kids, etc. Why would Apple remove this?! Considering just returning my new iphone 15 because of this. This is all you get now when you look at someone's location. You can't even refresh it, you have to click out, wait a while and click back in. Terrible. Please put the location back to how it was Apple!
