Sharing photos in Shared Library in group chat

I have a Shared Library and an iMessage Group Chat setup so everyone in the family can access and chat. If one of us takes a photo and puts it into the Shared Library, is there a way to efficiently tell everyone about that photo by say sharing a link with thumbnail instead of having to copy the photo into the iMessage post?

‘Shared With You’ photos not showing in Photos So I’m having issues with the ‘Shared With You’ section in Photos. Several friends have sent me pictures through iMessage but when I go to my Photos app and tap on the ‘For You’ tab all that shows is a message that reads “Photos scans your library to offer content curated for you. Connect your iPhone to power overnight to continue scanning.” The annoying part is that the ‘Shared With You’ function seems to be working fine everywhere else. If someone sends me a Safari link, for example, when I open Safari the link shows up immediately under the ‘Shared With You’ section. The only way I can get the photos to appear in my Photos app is if I save them to my phone manually which isn’t a big deal but this function was working perfectly before. Whenever I received a picture through iMessage it would almost immediately show up in ‘Shared With You’ in my Photos app. I’ve searched and tried everything. I made sure I’m running the most recent software update (iOS 17), I have tried restarting my phone, I have checked to make sure that the ‘Shared With You’ option is turned on in Messages, I’ve made sure that I didn’t hide alerts for any of my contacts, I’ve signed out/signed in to my iCloud, and I even reset my phone and still it won’t work. If anyone has a solution/fix that would be great. I receive pictures and videos from friends and family all the time and it’s nice being able to see those pictures in my Photos without having to actually save them in my phone first.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

When photos are added to the iCloud Share Photo Library, content is shared to everyone's library and memories in real time.

Photos and videos added to the Shared Library are separate from your Personal Library. You can easily switch between viewing the Shared Library, your Personal Library, or both in Photos.

If you want additional features to Shared Libraries, provide it to Apple.
