I think you have the bottom complication set to show upcoming calendar events. If they re too long to display you are prompted to tap and open a larger view.
Your choices are simple. It might work to use very shore event descriptions which fit into the tiny complication, otherwise change the lower complication to something like Today's Date (I prefer this option anyway)

I have the same issue. After I paired my watch to my iPhone 15, I started getting “tap to open” instead of my upcoming events. They showed up just fine when the watch was paired to my iPhone 13. So it has nothing to do with having too much to display. Any other ideas?
If this is specific to iPhone 15 I regret I can't help you. My new iPhone will not deliver until (hopefully) later next week so right now I can't experiment and see exactly what you are seeing. Sorry (in all respects) and hope you are enjoying your new iPhone 15.
Where are you seeing this?
It’s at the bottom of the watch where usually you see upcoming events
The apple watch screen is to small, to see the full page you must click to open
Just fixed it. I just opened the app for the complication on my iphone for the first time since upgrading and it suddenly started showing events as it used to.
Thank you! With your help, I found out how!
