Standby not charging properly

iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. 17.0.1. Kaleidoscope wallpaper. Optimized Battery Charging on. Standby Mode on. Night Mode on. Motion On. Phones begin charging when first plugged to Lightning cable at night, then stop charging, but never resume. Batteries are at 97% Maximum Capacity. No problems at all with the phones. And both worked/charged as expected with iOS 17. Problem seems to have begun with iOS 17.0.1. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on a solution?

Don't you just hate it when you provide IT with all the relevant information in a well-thought out query, but they answer you with the boilerplate "Yeah, but is your computer plugged in?"

So anyways, I continued to search for a solution through trial and error, while contemplating each failed result. Finally, I determined the problem must be that the older Apple brick on my Lightning cord must be insufficient to charge the iPhones when Standby Mode is engaged.

Solution: I bought the UGREEN Nexode 100W USB C Charger! Problem solved! iPhone charged as expected, while Standby Mode worked beautifully all night.

Hope this information helps others.

By the way, I have no affiliation the company that makes the referenced charger (which is expensive, but also an impressive device).
