My custom Tones for Text Tone gone missing after iOS17 install? I have many custom text tones for incoming text message and now they are inaccessible. I missed imoportant incoming text messages because their custom text tone is not accessible! The TONES are still on my iPhone, if I choose to change a Ringtone. But they are not accessible if needing to (and I do need to) change TEXT tone!

You should be able to customize the tones and ringtones on your iPhone by following the steps here: Use tones and ringtones with your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

My custom TONES are still on my iPhone. If I choose to change a Ringtone, they're avaialable. But if I choose to change a TEXT Tone, Apple is denying access. It may be a programmer oversight or, it may be as many are writing, another Apple cash grab to get their customers to Buy Text Tones.
Again this is a known issue. The text tones are still tones. People incorrectly assumed it was just taken away but customers contacting Apple about the issue are advised that it is a known issue (as many have reported on other threads).
This is a know issue. There are numerous threads on the issue and has been reported to Apple. Until it is addressed via an update the issue will be there. But definitely report it to Apple.
Same here I just don’t understand why? No one wants to have the tones Apple has. We need to go back to ios16 because ios17 is worthless at this point.
