I had a first generation iPad that was given to my niece. She lives outside USA. She’s trying to download apps but it’s giving her a message “apps not compatible with the iPad.” Can you please tell me why it is not downloading? Thank you.

It's it's truly a first generation iPad, with no cameras, then there's very few, and possibly no, apps compatible with it.
That error message means the version of iOS on the iPad is too old for the app she has tried to download. She likely needs a much newer iPad.
