Wait a few days, then power cycle your Apple Watch and your iPhone.
After a major software update, the new operating system is doing some house keeping that causes it to draw more current. Generally after a few days and power cycling the Apple Watch and iPhone, things go back to normal.

Not just you. The battery drain on my Apple Watch 7 has been dismal since the iOS 10 update. During the time my watch would drain from full charge to 65-70%, now it drains to under 30%. No settings or usage difference from before the update. Tried rebooting watch, as well as unpairing/repairing from phone. Makes no difference. Been like this since Monday night when I installed the update, so it’s not just it needs a little while to index or do some other background tasks. It’s been 5 days.
What is power cycling, please? I have the same issue. Doesn’t even last four hours. I’m charging before bed, when I wake up, in the middle of the day…. It’s awful. I’m using no apps other than the watch face itself. None. Zero. No apps. And yet it still drains.
i have multiple sclerosis and this watch is my safety net for if I fall, or if there is an emergency. I don’t know what to do. It’s a Series 5, and until now has worked perfectly.
