iOS 16.7.1 not installing

If your iPhone or iPad won't update - Apple Support

If you can’t install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS on your iPhone or iPad

You might be unable to update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly, or over the air, for one of these reasons:

• Your device doesn't support the latest software
• There isn't enough available storage space on your device
• The update takes a long time to download
• Your device isn't able to reach the update server
• The update doesn't complete

If your device doesn't support new software

To check if your device supports new software:

1. Identify your iPhone or iPad model.
2. Check whether your iPhone or iPad model is on the list of compatible devices for the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.

If your device is compatible, then update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS that is available to you.

If you have a compatible device but your iPhone or iPad won't update, try the steps below.

You could also try to free up space by optimizing the storage on iPhone. You can do this by by deleting apps, deleting old photos you no longer need, old emails & messages. You can read more about it here: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

My iOS 16.7.2 not installing after downloading it

My phone says it doesn’t have enough memory, but it has over 5MB and the update says it needs 3.91.

In your comment above, You suggest following the steps below, but I don’t see what they are. Thanks

failure Is downloading the software 16.7.1. Eventually moved to 17.0.3 and installed via PC. But I wanted to install 16.7.1 but iTunes didn’t give me this option. I wasted 4 hours and not a smooth experience.

Apple testers didn’t perform upgrade testing throughly.

Thank you for the link. I was able to update my iPhone from our computer following the directions.

My iPhone 8plus refuse to install to the ios16.7.2

It say software update required a network connection. I am already connected with my Mobil data
