I have an iPhone 11Pro Max. I am not able to make calls and use the internet most of the time. I was told the problem is it is 4g. Is this true?

What country are you located in? 4G/LTE and 5G are now the standard in most of the world, and the 11 works find on 4G. Check with your carrier and see what they say.
I’m sure it is not the phone model. 4G is available everywhere in the US.
