Verification codes appear in app but they are not in iMessage

So I got the new iphone15 pro. I went to Amazon to order something and had to verify with a sms code. The code appears on the website but it doesn’t go into iMessages. This just happened when I got the new 15 pro. All apps that need verification do populate the code but sometimes the code doesn’t work so I try to see what it was. But there are no codes in my iMessages.

where are they going?
