Check integrity of iPhone local backup on Mac

Hi!

After hours of restoring my iPhone from backup on my Mac I got message that my backup is damaged and cannot be restored.

Lucky me, I have older iPhone backups on my Time Machine full iMac backups but is there a way to check their intergity BEFORE wasting hours to roll in to iPhone?

Else, how am I supposed to put my trust into the local iPhone backups from now on, then?.. The question is rhetorical.

backup thinks my iPhone is new Trying to backup iPhone after upgrading OS, 18.2.1, SE, and am prompted to treat as reformat as new or back up to an older back up. Would like to avoid loosing any information . Which is best choice?

Iphone Backup Problems on Mac Hello- I have always, and refer to continue backing up my Iphone on my Mac mini rather than iCloud but recently began having trouble. I have a mac Mini running Sequoia 15.2 and Iphone 15 on IOS 18.2. When I am in finder on my Iphone and click Backup (Like I have done for many years) I now get "Cannot backup Iphone because the Iphone backup is corrupt". It says to delete backups, but for some reason it says I have none for this phone and says "last backup: Never" I have read everything I can but can't get it to work and have dug through as much of the Mac as I can looking for a backup folder to see if I can find a corupt backup file, but I can't find one. The only major change has been updating to Sequoia so I feel like that has something to do with it but not sure. Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks!
