Updated to 17.0.1, now when I open an email in my gmail acccount, and click on an attachment or a link in an email, it goes to a blank screen (not opening safari) and after some seconds, reverts back to the home page of the phone (not even back to gmail).
I have tried shutting it off and restarting, no cure.
How do I fix this?

Apple has released iOS 17.0.2 as an additional update. We recommend updating to this version to then test again.
