How to stop Google from opening other apps

I was on Google chrome and I open up the Snapchat website for something and now anytime I open up the chrome app for the first time it'll redirecting me too Snapchat app. Am I able to turn this permission off? I just want to know how to stop Google from opening Snapchat. I don’t know why an app gets to forcefully open up another app without my permission.
