I have an iPhone 8Plus with OS 16.7, will I be able to move everything from the 8 to a 15 model?

What else do you need? Everything is in the title. I want to come out of the dark ages.

Yes, just follow this guidance→Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

One word of warning: You MUST update your iPhone 15 to 17.0.2 BEFORE you do the transfer. You will be prompted to do it, and just accept the prompt.

Yup, you can use Quick Start to set up and transfer data to a new iPhone

  1. Make sure your iPhone has a WiFi connection and Bluetooth is turned on,
  2. Switch on your new device and place it near your current device,
  3. You will then be prompted to set up your new device and follow the on screen directions,

You can then transfer your data from your current device.

  • If you download from iCloud, your apps and data will be downloaded in the background so that you can start using your new device straight away.

  • If you transfer directly from your previous device, you'll need to wait for the transfer to be finished on both devices before you can use them. Just make sure to keep the devices close together during the data migration progress!

All instructions will appear on-screen so there is little room for error.

Hope this helps!
