when updating my phone most recently to the new iOS 17, I have lost all of my personalized tones and ringtones. I have tried going through iTunes and other sources, but nothing ever shows up to be able to personalize any of the ringtones as we used to before this update is this a glitch or is this the new way that Apple is presenting the ringtones?

I lost all my Text tones, I had everything custom when I updated my phone I lost it I’m trying to get them back is there anyway to get them back! This is ridiculous you pay for these expensive phones and because you upgrade thinking that you’re going to get better techniques on the updates and instead you lose stuff! Ridiculous
Loli- That isn’t what people are complaining about. That sets ring/text tones as a default for your phone. This is individual ringtones for your contacts. I’ve always had the same tone for ring and text for a single person, like the car horn. And then the quacking duck for another person. Always set based on the personality of the person. That way, whether they call or text, I know who they are just based on the sound. But now, not only do I have to choose separate ringtones and texts for each person because they no longer crossover (how am I supposed to remember that?), but when I try to DL a tone, even though it gives the option to set as ringtone, all of the DLs go into TEXT only!

Funny when you send on there you can't even select the newest ios 17. Weird

I have tried to download all my songs again for my Text tones and the songs won’t download so I can upload them! iPhones are not getting better. They’re getting worse I will not ever update again.
Same issue. Shame on apple. All of my downloaded text tones are now under ring tone options only.
Well they need to fix this problem
This is a known issue that had been appeared in ios 17.1(RC) update log which will be release to the public soon.
17.1 update did not return the missing ringtones.
The notification/ringtones I’m talking about are the stock ones, such as barking dog is still missing.
My custom ringtones, the ones I downloaded, never disappeared.
It's gone for me too. I found another thread of dozens of users who lost it, so it seems to be universally gone.
Same thing with me on my phone & the "update on apple watch.... poo poo boo" same thing their idea of upgrades are really down grades for the consumer. Cheese N Crackers Apple get it together!!!
