Macbook Air, Keys 4RFV not working without any physical issue

I have a MacBook Air M2, bought in Oct 22, worked flawlessly, one day opened it, the 4 keys stopped working. Thought a quick restart would fix it. When login screen popped up. Since, password contains one of the character, not able to login with the same. After discussion with Apple support got to know it could be a software issue, which can be fixed after update. Can anyone share their experience if anything like this happened in Ventura? Do I need to take it to apple repaid service, and if yes how much time would it take to fix?

Thanks in advance

Have you gone thru this Apple Support article: If your Mac doesn’t respond to key presses - Apple Support

It's possible it's a hardware issue, but the above might rule out an inadvertant software setting.

Not sure when in October you purchased it, but it's possible the one year warranty hasn't expired yet. (Or 3 year warranty if you purchased AppleCare when you bought your Mac). If it's under warranty, and the above doesn't resolve anything, I'd make an appointment at the Apple Store Genius bar and let them take a look
