Multicam in Final Cut iPad

One of my camcorders I use outputs multiple video if the recording is long. The other just give a single file.

So I have 2 sources but more than 2 clips (1 video from the camcorder that outputs a single file and multiple (6+) files for another that outputs multiple clips).

I used to combine the multiple clips into one compound clip in FCP Mac. But i found out that there is no compound clip function on the iPad version. What can I do?

Is there a solution without having to export the multiple clips into a single file and then reimport it into another project?

Thanks

When you wrote “compound” did you mean “multicam”? The title says multicam but then you wrote that you used to make a compound. Probably a mistype, but just in case it wasn’t: in the situation you describe, there is no need to use a compound. Just tag the clips with an appropriate value for “Camera Angle”, or “Camera Name”, and FCP will gladly create the multicam with clips from the same camera put in the same angle. Sorry, I don’t have FCP on iPad to test. Maybe there is something in the user guide.
