This is a user to user only forum. As users we have no knowledge of Apple inventory or when any store will have stock available. Every year, when the new phones are released, Apple opens preorders one week before they launch to the public. Millions upon Millions of people preorder and Apple's priority is to deliver preordered phones to people who ordered. Over time, stock does begin to open up to stores and walk-in customers. All we can advise is for you to check early each morning OR better yet, order one and Apple will give you a delivery window when to expect the model, color and storage you want.

You will have to pay state sales tax and that will NOT be refundable nor can it be waived. Apple, by law, must collect the applicable sales tax in every store taxes are required. New York City Sales Tax is 8.875%.

Also note that NO iPhones sold in the US have physical Sim slots. If wherever you live your carrier doesn't support eSim, the phone won't work in your country.

AND, your iPhone purchased in the US will have NO warranty in another country. If you think you're saving money by purchasing a phone in the US, think about how much it could cost you to get on a plane and fly back to the US for service or replacement. You cannot ship the phone to Apple in the US for service.

If you don't live in the US, DON'T BUY YOUR iPhone in the US.
