Accidentally turned Bluetooth off. I tried command and space at - no joy. My screen is now blank. What do I do?

I stupidly turned Bluetooth off on my iMac . So I am unable to use my mouse. ‘Command’ and ‘space bar’ didn’t work either. I now have a black screen.. help!!

Switched off Bluetooth accidentally In a classic senior moment, I switched off Bluetooth (with my bluetooth only Magic Mouse). Keyboard still works; cursor is stuck in the upper left corner of the screen. System is a 2019 iMac 21 w/ intel processors, running Monterey, updated this morning. Have powered completely off several times. Reboot opens several previously open windows which I can do nothing with without the mouse. I've also tried holding the command, option, P &R keys while powering up which appears to have worked several years ago. Any suggestions will be most welcome. Cannot use keyboard to navigate iMac My mouse is dead, and no matter how long I charge it, it will not connect. The only solutions that I find include turning off Bluetooth on the computer/forgetting resynicing the mouse. Challenge: how to do this WITHOUT a mouse!? Supposedly, there is a way to do this with the keyboard, but I apparently need to turn on accessibility. Again WITHOUT the mouse!? After searching, I did find a way to get to the Apple menu: System settings. I can move down to Accessibility on the side bar, but CANNOT select it. Cannot move to the next pane with the keyboard!? This is so frustrating. Why can this computer just work, like Apple products did back in the ‘80s?

You may need to purchase a wired mouse to get things going again. It is always a good idea to have a wired mouse and keyboard on hand, just in case. Most of us old timers have boxes of them lying around...

Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > Bluetooth, then click on Turn Bluetooth On
