iPhone 15 CarPlay Not Working

Unfortunately, Peugeot doesn’t have that option. I have started car with phone attached and after engine started: no difference, it won’t work. It’s bad enough lashing out for a new iPhone which, in my case, isn’t now fit for purpose but, with no solution from Peugeot either, what am I now to do? Change the car or get a different brand of phone at more expense? I’m rapidly falling out of love with Apple over this and other app issues.

And the same for my 2020 Toyota Camry. I just updated upgraded last week to the iPhone 15 because when I got my 13 Pro Max in February 2022 I had never been able to finish the restore on that new phone. So I went to Verizon to see if they could fix it, they could not. so I upgraded to the 15 promax. I’ve had nothing but problems with the 15 and I blamed it mostly on the fact that I had had to restore this from my last update in February 2022. I lost tons of contacts, passwords, messages, and apps. One particular app which I use daily for bill tracking is no longer available in the App Store. So all of that that I’ve used for almost 10 years to track my monthly bills for my home, gone. And now to find out that I can’t even use CarPlay anymore? This phone is absolute garbage until they fix it. I’m livid.

Would you be able to share a link to the product that you purchased? If there’s hope then I may not go back to Verizon and try to switch back to my 13. But with all the discounts that I got when I made the switch it could seriously F my Monthly bill.

I’m in the exact same boat. I’ve honestly had nothing but problems with my 15. I miss my 13 but the only reason that I upgraded was because I was never able to finish restoring my 13 when I bought it in February 2022. So I got to the point where I was no longer able to update the iOS Until my restore had completed. I went into Verizon to see if they could help. Long story short we decided that an upgrade with trade-in as well as adding multiple Apple watches to my account would be the best option for my family. My monthly bill only went up 10 bucks per month . Who wouldn’t take that deal? But problem after problem after problem. Part of me is tempted to accidentally run over my phone so I can get a replacement but it would be the same. **** phone and the same. **** problem. I need my CarPlay.

2017 Chevy Volt, same thing. I've tried multiple wireless carplay dongles, 1 of which worked a couple of times seemingly randomly and then wouldn't work again. Both companies provided good customer support and guidance but their product just wouldn't work. I've tried multiple cables as well. The irony is that the cables work perfectly on the Boss head unit in my 2008 Jeep Rubicon and carplay works seemlessly. But the Volt, that remains to be nonfunctional. Any suggestions?

Same thing for me and my 23 Mini. Upgraded from 11 to 15 and now I’m in Bluetooth purgatory. Can’t pause a podcast with Bluetooth in a mini. Not sure if I’m staying with this phone. I think I’m in my grace period to turn it in

I have a BMW 5 Series. My new iPhone 15 won't connect via wi-fi to the car - my previous iPhone (a 12) had no issues.

I could try using the wired solution but the USB is in the central arm rest - so this isn't a practical solution.

When are Apple going to address this issue, as it's clearly an iPhone issue rather than a car issue?

I have a 2020 Ford EcoSport and when I plug my phone in, my screen goes black on my vehicle but will show when I turn the volume up or down, & I also started having issues with the camera on my iPhone 15 Pro as well, it will just freeze on the camera screen.

Thank you SO much! I have a 2017 Honda CRV and I’m living in a new city for work so my CarPlay Waze is a necessity! I was so mad when I got my new 15 iPhone last week and it wouldn’t hook up with just the charger like my 13 did. It works perfectly with this new cable and your instructions! You rock!

Same - struggling with this exact issue on Chevy Bolt (2017) - Carplay worked with iphone 12, 13, 14...but not 15 pro. Definitely using the correct cable, purchased at an Apple store.

Its not Mazda's fault... I get what youre saying and i couldn't agree more with your stresses. I work at Mazda and can tell you firsthand this is 100% an apple issue! Nothing we can do until it's fixed.

I was excited to get the new 15 pro max for the camera didn’t realize I’d be giving up Apple CarPlay! Apple sells rotten apples! This is totally unacceptable! If they don’t fix the problem it will be the last iPhone I ever buy.

I have a new 2023 Honda Ridgeline and my iPhone 13 which was very buggy worked great in my vehicle. Just received my new iPhone 15 and CarPlay does not work. Tried everything and it finally connect for about a minute and then disconnected and have yet to hook up again. Hope to hear back from Apple on this soon as I travel for a living and love my CarPlay!

I’m still frustrated after many months of the erratic CarPlay. It seems like with every Apple update CarPlay gets worse. It works for a few minutes and quits. Worst of all if you try to call using CarPlay it drops your call. To me this is so dangerous while driving.

This 15 is the worst version of a phone everrrrrr. I have had nothing but problems. Things not syncing and the mk ey grab for the ports have now jacked up my ability for car play thereby compromising my safety while driving. Well done, Apple. ( massive sarcasm enter here)
