Beach ball on Mac Studio M2 Ultra Ventura

Hello Everyone,

I have a new Mac Studio M2 Ultra, 128 GB memory, and OS Ventura 13.5.2. I am editing a video that includes a good number of tracks for both audio and video (including effects). The software I am using is Camtasia 2023. The video is about 10 minutes long. Every time I save my progress I get the beach ball for a longer time as I continue editing. The last time I saved my progress, the beach ball appeared for about 7 seconds! So far, I have only seen the beach ball while saving, not during editing (adding elements, effects, or modifying existing ones). I thought I should not experience this with the Mac Studio, especially with the M2 Ultra chip and 128 GB of memory. Am I correct? Is the beach ball normal while saving? Should I be alarmed? Your guidance and support will be greatly appreciated.

Then be quiet. Let people do their own research and decide for themselves if they want to risk using this utility. You keep defending this software. One might ask the question of what you have to gain? Why are you so set that anyone who speaks against the use of it is speaking the untruth? A simple google query of the utility will bring about the suggestion of Malware.

If the software is so wonderful and upfront with their code. Then why is it not available in the App Store?

It was available on the Mac App Store at one point, but when rules for posting there changed, the developer, (a senior contributor on these forums) was forced to choose. Either:

• dumb down what is being reported to meet the (non-invasive) requirements for Apps in the App store-OR-

• stop being available the App store

The choice was to provide more and better information and support, but that meant Etrecheck VOLUNTARILY de-listed from the Mac App Store.

The Utility is provided for Free, and it can be run directly form the downloads folder. if you don't want it on your Mac, you can delete it when your report is complete. It installs NOTHING. I can't imagine anything more benign.
