I am trying to figure out how to find out if my phone has any IOS software I’m unaware up or any software

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

Yes you phone has iOS on it, that is your operating system. Without it your phone wouldn't function.

Go to Settings > General > Software Update to see what version you currently have and if there are any updates available.
