Final Cut Pro is crashing after updating to Mojave
Today I updated to MacOS Mojave 10.14.5. FCPX 10.4 has started crashing. The newest version of FCPX 10.6 isn't compatible with Mojave. What can I do? Any useful advice will be much appreciated.

Can you update to OS 10.14.6? Then update FCPX to 10.4.10? This combination works well together. You will probably have to restart FCPX holding down the command and option keys and accept Delete Preferences.
Thanks for your response. I was looking for FCPX 10..5 on the Apple Store. There was only FCPX 10..6 available. I wanted to download it, but remember seeing a message saying something like 10.6 isn't compatible with my iMac, I needed an older version. I still clicked on it. I'm not sure what happened after that but I waited for a while and clicked it to open, the FCPX opened and asked me if I wanted to update the current library I was using, I said yes, then FCPX 10.4 hasn't crashed since then. I've still got the same version in my App folder. The problem seems to have been solved.
Just a quick note to say that, in order to update to the most recent version that works in your OS, you just need to click on your account at the bottom left of the App Store. Do not just search for FCP in the whole store, as that will only offer the current version.
Yes, I learned that the hard way. Thanks.
