Placing an Icon on the Mac front screen

Create and remove aliases on Mac - Apple Support

Go to your Applications folder.

Single click on the Logic icon.

Go to the 'File' menu at top left of your screen.

Choose 'Make Alias'

Drag that alias to your Desktop

Rename it if you want.

Click on an empty spot on your desktop (finder / "front screen"). Then Press Command+J, that will open a small settings window. You need to select "Sort - None" to place an Alias (icon) on your desktop where ever you want.

Are you talking about the login emblem for your user? Or do you want to make a shortcut?

Not yet an iOS Feature:

Creating shortcuts to the Home Screen is not a feature of the iOS. So, recommend to Apple that they make is suck:
