Digital Island notifications too small for text -- Specifically with Alarms

Just received my new 15 Pro. The much-hyped Digital Island is fine, I guess, but the notification style for Alarms in particular-- with the big snooze and cancel buttons and not much room for anything else-- only display the first word or two of the alarm title. I use alarms for many things and the titles are frequently verbose and descriptive. This wasn't a problem with normal banner notifications, but now, the Island has rendered them unusable. Is there any way to disable Digital Island notifications for Alarms (or for all apps) and reenable good ol' banners?

Thanks!

Hello markfromla jolla,

Since there isn't a way to disable the Dynamic Island, the Feedback link was appropriate.

However, since disabling isn't an option, see if one of these options works for you. From View Live Activities in the Dynamic Island on iPhone - Apple Support:

You can do any of the following in the Dynamic Island:

* Expand the activity to see more detail: Touch and hold the activity or swipe from the center to the right or left side.
* Collapse the activity to make the Dynamic Island smaller: Swipe from the right or left side toward the center.
Switch between two activities: Swipe from one side or the other.

Unfortunately, none of those gestures you mentioned actually work for Alarm notifications in the island.

Swiping from the center to the edge-- No action

Swiping from the edge to the center-- No action

Tapping and holding-- No action

A quick tap will take me to the Alarms tab of the Clock app, but not to the actual alarm that's going off, so that's kind of useless as well.

Will leave feedback. It's absurd that buying a brand new top of the line iPhone means I'm locked into a clearly half-baked UI "enhancement". Returning that phone now and going back to my 12 Pro.
