Hi. I wanna updated my ios software shift on 16. My phone software currently is 15.7.9.

Hi there,I would like to request an update for my iPhone 7's software. Currently, my phone is running on iOS 15.7.9, and I would like to update it to the latest version, iOS 16. I have tried going to Settings > General > Software Update, but it keeps showing "Update requested" and doesn't seem to be downloading the update files.Could you please help me with this issue? I have checked my Wi-Fi connection and my iPhone storage, and they seem to be working fine. I have also tried hard restarting my iPhone, but it didn't work.
