I pushed the button that you hold to
turn off ur watch and i you just
push it, the icons come that would come up
when you swiped up. The icon that you would push is there along with the rest of the icons we are all looking for. 😉

you don’t swipe up anymore. Now you press the button next to the Digital Crown on the side of the watch.
Since you upgraded to watchOS 10 access to the Control Center, and has changed. You will find the "locate" icon using the following advice.
"Open or close Control Center
Hello Cajun-florist, When you swipe up you have to go to the "All Apps" button and press that to bring up your apps and then click on "Find Devices". A little more work. I'm not sure if you can put a short cut in at the bottom of the swipe up. I'm still experimenting on the new IOS too.
I’ve seen the correct answer a few times now—CORRECT ANSWER IS—push the button below the crown button. It comes right up to what we used to have. Honestly—I’m not liking the update much but we’ll get used to it.
Momentarily press and release the flat oval side button

I am so upset!! My watch automatically updated last night and I can’t fine the find my phone anywhere!!! I used this feature at least 5 times A DAY! Bring it back!! I hate the new update. Hate. Hate. Hate it!
Control Center, and the iPhone ping icon, have moved to the flat oval side button (see picture)
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
A quick press and release, will bring up the Control Center, which has the iPhone ping.
DO NOT hold the button, as that will bring up the Emergency Services display
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed
will allow you to adjust the press and release timing so you reliably get the Control Center to come up every time. This option is also useful in reliably getting Apple Pay's double press and release to come up every time. I like the Slow setting. My Wife likes the Slowest setting.
It moved to the flat oval side button (see picture). Tap it once. DO NOT hold it down, or that will bring up the Emergency calling display
https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/control-center-apd06bc15da1/watchos
If you do not see the iPhone ping icon, then scroll to the end and tap "Edit", where you can add the iPhone ping back into the Control Center list of actions.

Please bring back the easy way to get to the control center! It takes forever now! Not a good upgrade at all!
Pressing a button takes forever?
Or saying “Hey Siri, ping my iPhone” takes too long?
The previous Control Center swipe-up has moved to a quick press and release of the flat oval side button

DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up Emergency services and the power off icon.
Getting the press and release timing just right can be an issue. You can make it more reliable by changing:
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed
“Side Button Click Speed” can adjust the press and release timing, so you get the Control Center display every time. Adjusting The “Side Button Click Speed” is also useful for Apple Pay’s double press and release. There is “Default” (sub second timing of needed), “Slow” (up to a second between press and release), and “Slowest” (up to 2 seconds between press and release). I like the “Slow” setting.
NOTE: Slow and Slowest settings do not mean you have to wait a full second or 2 seconds between press and release. It just means you do not need to be super fast.
Apple is not here. This is a user-to-user technical support forum.
But you can send Apple feedback via:
If enough users send feedback, it is more likely a decision maker will see it, and maybe take action.

When I push the button under the crown, I don’t get the screen that I used to when I just swiped up, which was 1000 times easier. So frustrating, as I used this option multiple times a day. It doesn’t even show me the option to locate the phone, just whatever apps I have open.

DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up Emergency services and the power off icon.
Control Center should then show you the iPhone ping icon (find my iPhone), Battery percentage, Flashlight, Water Lock, Airplane mode, Alarm silence, Theater mode, and all the other Control Center services.
An alternate way to get some of the Control Center services is:
"Hey Siri, find my iPhone"
"Hey Siri, Flashlight"
"Hey Siri, Battery"
"Hey Siri, Airplane mode"

How many times are people going to post the same issue and not read the solution. Instead of swiping up, you simply press the button beside the round crown on the side of the watch. SAME MENU as before. Less movement. 1 click that’s all! No swiping, no searching just click and done. Jeez

The only thing I get when I push that button is the compass backtrack (which I’ve never used) and SOS
Compass backtrack is not a Control Center service, so I’m guessing you pushed the round, rotating, sticks out from the side Digital Crown.
Instead, do a quick press and release to the flat oval side button (see picture)

Yes, found out the hard way, they moved it from the easy "just scroll up" to now having to push the button below the crown. Not a fan of the new update, but, as many said, I guess we just need to get used to it...

Pushing the button below the crown: this does not bring up on my Watch what we used to have. However, on my wife’s newer and NOT updated watch it does.
Apple: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Why in the world would you take away a perfectly good solution and replace it with confusion?
Yes the user interface has changed.

Hi Jgem8
I am with you on that, I used that swipe up screen A LOT. But I have good news for you.
To find that screen, you need to push once the button below the digital crown and you will see that option back again. ;-)
Pressing twice is the Apple Pay trigger.
