Downloaded full release of Sonoma this morning. Changing the wall paper in Settings does not work. Stuck with the Sonoma Vineyard scene it booted with after installing. Any ideas?

A workaround. Go to settings/wallpaper/your chosen Photos Album. Eventually (can take a while) your photo albums will list and there will be a thumbnail of each photo in the album. The first thumbnail is the non working 'cycle the album' activator. Any photo you click on becomes the wallpaper. Now keep clicking successively on as many as you want. Now go back to that first activator thumbnail and click on it. All photos you clicked will now cycle. I have 4100 photos in my 'wallpaper' album, but only have about 200 cycling. Good luck.
PS How many Sonoma updates do we have to wait for before Apple addresses this BIG FAIL. I think with 14.2 we have had 4.
Same here. Tried a reboot but it did not work.
Same here. And it will NOT let me "download" the ones I like. It'll start and almost immediately stop and the download button will reappear. :(
This is all I get too, just the black screen. I hope they fix it soon, it is a bit depressing

Not sure what issue or topic you are responding to, but I suggest you read the beginning of this chat to understand the topic, which is not affected by logging in / out, or by Sonoma housekeeping.

This was good advice as it worked well. I now have my wallpaper back. The other good advice was to let Sonoma marinate. It worked also in refreshing all applications.
WORST upgrade ever from Apple. So many glitches -- horrible. They need an update to fix all of these problems. Wallpaper is only one.
My beef exactly. Plus when you try to copy text from a document, it turns all of the italic or bold text into nonsense.

That process of creating and deleting a space did not work for me :(
Mine did that and then I tried to change which album I wanted to use.... Big mistake now I have the issue of not being able to use any of my photo albums.
Me too. Very annoying. I want to use my own photos and it will not allow me to bring my photo folder into the screen saver section any longer. What the ****.
That's hardly an acceptable "work around". It's primitive and no one has time for that.
