My apple TV Unit will not load PBS or Prime Video after the most recent update. Is there a fix?

Apple TV 4K, Model A1842, TVOS 17.0. Ist time using after the most recent update the PBS app wouldn't connect. Performance was returned to normal (I thought) after deleting the PBS app and then reinstalling it. Worked fine that evening. This evening again the PBS app would not connect so I deleted it again, then reinstalled it only this time it still doesn't connect. The PBS app connects and works normally on my iPad and Mac.

Amazon Prime Video launches just fine for me on tvOS 17. 🤷‍♂️

PBS is not available in my part of the world, so I can’t test that.


Try this for any misbehaving app:

  1. Force-quit the app, then relaunch and try again.
  2. If the issue persists, force-quit the app, restart the device, then relaunch and try again.
  3. If the issue still persists, delete the app, re-download and try again.
  4. If the issue still persists after that, then contact the app developer for further assistance.
