After IOS 17 update apps consuming high internal storage as we use the apps.

Hi Everyone,

I have been using the IOS 17 from past 4 to 5 days and initially i could see the phone app was consuming the storage heavily as i use the app, after 2 days i got to know that most of the apps are consuming the storage of iPhone as we use them. In all these apps i am not adding any new data or doing any downloads, just browsing the apps like Youtube, Facebook, Phone app, music apps etc.

If i use the YouTube and browse the videos for 3 - 4 minutes the storage increase by 100 MB, if i use for longer time then the storage increase high for the YouTube app(200 - 300 MB). So this is same for the most of the apps, as we use them the storage is getting increased. The same happens for facebook and other apps as well.

This is a Major issue in the IOS 17 and i am wondering how such a big issue came out and why this was not found in the testing. There was almost 6 or 7 beta releases for IOS 17 and how could this Major bug be missed by the apple team.

After few days the storage will be consumed completely and it is a dead end for all the users. Apple as to take the immediate action on this and try resolve the Bug ASAP.

About Update Bugs Not Getting Caught:

When a new iOS version is released (i.e. iOS 17), the latest and greatest is there to install. However, bug are reported, and then Apple learns of them from feedback from people like you and me (everyday users). Who knows why they didn't catch it? If you notice, iOS 17 updates are being released frequently, and that will surely slow down as things are learned about. Note that prior to its release to the public, iOS 17 was in beta version, where particular users and participants would use it on their devices, and then provide feedback on it. Once beta ended, iOS 17 was released to the public. And here they are receiving feedback. So, keep an eye out for all updates to come: About iOS 17 Updates - Apple Support
