my AirPods won't show up

suddenly my left airpod wouldn't play music and there would be no sound when I first put the airpods in when I opened the case it did not show up only the right airpod showed up. I've tried everything forget this "device", cleaned the charging case, restarted the Airpod and my phone and nothing is working and I don't know how to fix it.

This one night I had to push down with slight p[ressure in the charging case then it would show up and it charged to 100% both airpods so I thought I had fixed the issue but the next day after putting both in only one was playing sounds and left airpod woulf be at 64% if and when it showed up.

Thank you for sharing the steps you have tried so far, those were good ones to try.

You mentioned cleaning the case, did you also clean the AirPods? If not, give that a try.

Did you try resetting the AirPods back to factory and then pair them back to your iPhone? This is a good step to try when you are having any issues with your AirPods. Follow the steps found in How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support.

If you see no changes in the left side AirPod, we recommend contacting Apple Support. You can do that by going to Get Support.
