I enabled Confirm with AssistiveTouch under Side button confirmation on my Apple Watch but now I can’t toggle off even though I switched off AssistTouch.
i can’t make payment on my Apple Watch now by double clicking my side button.
It’s driving me crazy, any way to resolve this? Thanks
I had the same problem. Could not disable "Confirm with Assistive Touch" in the watch app on the phone.
You can toggle it, but is just does not disable it, if you leave the "Assistive Touch" screen and open it again the setting is on Enabled again. Drove me nuts..
I was able to disable the option in the Settings App on the Watch itself.
Goto Settings -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch It is the last option in that screen.
You may need to turn off and on the watch after this step to complete it.
You should now get the "hold near the reader" message again after double press on button.

Thanks! I tried turning off the assistive touch and restarting but the issue is still there.
I also tried unpairing the watch and pair it again but the issue still persists.
i ended up unpairing again but this time i set up as a new watch and it works perfectly now..
This has been driving me crazy. I followed a thread from 2021 (so this is not a new problem) but that didn't suggest disabling on the watch. When I did that step after disabling on the app and restarted the watch everything was back as it was before I turned assistive touch on. Maybe they can fix that bug someday but Im not a fan of assistive touch.
same Issue here, I solved by disabling from the watch, the watch is overwriting the iPhone settings.
do it from the watch not the phone.
