How do you turn off smart stack?
Do we yet know how to turn-off smart stack in watch os 10? This downgrade was obviously designed by someone who doesn't have pockets or have to tuck-in their shirt.

Okay, the answer is you cannot disable Smart Stack. All you can do is submit feedback to Apple about it.

The answer was provided in this thread. You are posting to a community where Apple Users try to help other Apple Users. We cannot tell you how to do something that is not possible. We also have no power to make any changes in how Apple devices work.

There is a workaround. Simply “edit your stack”, & remove all widgets. Done. Warning: I’m not sure how to get it back, but as it’s a feature I don’t foresee wanting, I’ll just cross that bridge later. Lol
You can’t get rid of all of them. One will always be there, date and time.

First, Apple doesn't read here for feedback and suggestions. Second, how dare you presume to speak for everyone?
You can let Apple know your thoughts here:
That doesn’t answer the question.
Is there a way to turn off Smart Stack or make it a farther rotation of the Digital Crown because right now Smart Stack activates after just one click in the rotation of the Digital Crown so it activates all time frame normal hand movement or putting my hand in my pocket or the sleeves to my jacket or long sleeve shirt. I would like to be able to either change the sensitivity of the Digital Crown or turn off Smart Stack completely.
Is there a way to eliminate the Smart Stack, completely? I already have several watch faces that include access to all the apps I use. Smart Stack is a redundancy. Worse yet, instead of being able to swipe between my watch faces with one motion, I now have to press and long hold the current face, then swipe to a different face, and finally tap the new face. This is very annoying. Not sure what value the Smart Stack offers. Also, along with the Smart Stack comes the ability to make changes to the current watch face using the watch. Really? If I want to occasionally alter the apps on a watch face, I’ll do it on my iPhone, where it is much easier. Oh, yeah. I don’t want to forget the new OS 10.0.1 allows one to share watch faces with others. Seriously?! Is this really something that people spend a lot of time doing?

I do not need or want the SmartStack. This should be optional UI. I have enjoyed using the wstch until now. Wish I didn’t update the OS. want to revert back.
Tell Apple:
It does not help. We want to know how to disable this feature. Not use it.
Hello davidjberes,
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about Smart Stack, and we'd like to help. The following link can help with how to use Smart Stack with your Apple Watch: Use the Smart Stack to show timely widgets on Apple Watch - Apple Support (AL)
Let us know if this helps.
Regards.
Yes. 10.0.1 has ruined the smooth, organized functionality of my beloved Apple Watch Ultra. I would like to turn off Smart Stack completely and go back to being able to navigate my watch faces efficiently, where, BTW, I have access to all my regularly used apps, organized for easy access.
On my Ultra, while 10.0.1 made a mess of things with the Smart Stack, it also negatively affected other features and apps on the watch. In almost 40 years of using Apple products, 10.0.1 is by far the worst new OS to be offered by Apple on any product!!!
Chiming in - this has caused me to think about abandoning my apple watch ultra. Going into winter, I can reliably look down at my watch and NOT see my watch face but see one of the smart stack cards (jackets, sweatshirts, anything that keeps me warm). Please consider a setting that allows users to disable this feature altogether as it has clearly not been though through.
We can all easily find the user guide on how to use Smart Stack, but that’s not what was asked. We want to know how to fully disable this redundant feature as most of us have the complications on our watch faces that relay the same information in a more cohesive manner instead of the clunky Smart Stack that is really just an unnecessary duplication of information.
why was the option not given to enable or disable Smart Stack and assign something else in its place for those of us who’d rather not have duplicate information? I can think of so many other features or functions I’d rather have instead of useless Smart Stack.
My day-to-day watch face is lunar and I enjoyed being able to check the lunar phase for past or future dates by scrolling with the digital crown. I think that feature has now become impossible since smart stacks take the interaction. Ugh.

It still works. Tap the center of the face first. The moon will get bigger. Then, you can scroll using the Digital Crown.
