I have a mac desktop. i bought it used. i turned it on and connected it to my bluetooth keyboard. i updated to newer version of ios. when it was finished downloading, it would not let me sign in the password. the mouse is not moving the pointer at all. it is stuck on the password screen

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Is it a Wired Keyboard? That is generally needed in these cases.
But i cant get keyboard working, it is an all in one pc, not a macbook
