Hi itybity00,
Have you tried restarting your device to see if the issue persists? This can clear up minor software issues. You also want to make sure that your iPhone is completely up-to-date when possible. You can learn how to do that here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Additionally here's a resource to help you setup Siri properly: Use Siri on iPhone - Apple Support
If everything looks like it's set up correctly, and you've already updated, there are a few more steps that can resolve this here: If Siri isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support This can help you determine such things as Siri preferring silent responses, or recognize your voice specifically.
If that doesn't help, let us know the following:
- Does using the step to type to Siri work? This can let us know if Siri is working properly with different options.
- Does the same behavior occur when using headphones?
- If you activate the options for "Always Show Siri Captions" and "Always Show Speech", what do you see after activating Siri? Can you see the words you are speaking on the screen as Siri listens?
This can help us isolate the behavior to hardware, software, or Siri specifically. We look forward to hearing back from you.
Take care.
