Text Tone selection

How do I get my Garage Band app created ringtones to show up in the Text Tone selection in the Sound & Haptic settings? I was able to do this in the past.

Tones IOS 17 There seems to have been a major change to Sounds & Haptics. Since about IOS 8 a user has been able to use custom tones that the user created for all sounds. With IOS 17 it only let you set these tones for the ringtone or timer. All other tones, like text, email, voicemail use a default tone. If you try to set them to a user created tone, there is no option for this. It wants you to go to the tone store and purchase tones. As for the timer, you can use a user created tone if you setup the timer manually. If you use SIRI or the Control Panel on the home screen to setup a timer you get the Radial tone. I expect the they just moved these settings, but I can find them even with a Google search. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be appreciated. I have custom tones that I use for all my sounds and do not want to have to use the defaults or purchase tones that I don't really want.

My Ringtones/text tones I bought. The ringtones/text tones that I bought are NOT showing under Text tone anymore. I want to use one that I bought, not one of Appl’s choices.

We would recommend following the steps in this article: Share songs with GarageBand for iPhone - Apple Support. That page will walk you through the steps to create the ringtone and export it, making it available for selecting that tone in Settings.
