APPLE CINEMA DISPLAY A1081

I have a 2017 iMac and I also have an older Apple Cinema display (model A1081). The Cinema display comes with a power cable from which DVI (Digital Visual Interface), FireWire 400, USB 2.0 and DC (24.5V) power comes out. I would like to use this monitor for a second display, but I'm confused as to which of the three DVI, Firewire, or USB 2 connectors I should adapt to my 2017 iMac.

Use the DVI cable.

Firewire is only for data transfer not video, and the USB is to enable te USB ports on the display only.

Thunderbolt to DVI adapter: https://www.amazon.com/thunderbolt-dvi/s?k=thunderbolt+to+dvi

Do note, that A1081 Cinema display will have a very limited resolution compared to your 2017 iMac.
