where are downloads on my iPad

I can't find downloads on my iPad 7th generation using IOS 16.3

I download a lot of YouTube videos, some videos from various apps which have a lot of music in them and some other stuff.

There is nothing significant in the Files folder

I can't find the download folders for Youtube Premium or Safari or various apps.

I have reached the point where I am dumping apps entirely including all their contents just to free up space.

I am spending far too much time trying to make this otherwise helpful tool work like a normal desktop computer.

iOS/iPadOS differs from many computers with which you may be familiar - in that iOS/iPadOS utilises a sandboxed security architecture.

Each App effectively has is its own private storage and memory space. As such, many Apps will download files into their own private storage - and these files are managed from within the related App.

Very few Apps "publish" the contents of their private storage to the wider Operating System - and as such, cannot be accessed or viewed using the native Files App.
