placing iphone on top of another iphone

I placed my iphone on top of my husband's iphone accidentally to compare size. A message popped up that says the iphones connected. What does that mean?

iPhone 15 Plus, iOS 17

I think it goes beyond that. When calling my work phone, it is now forwarded to my personal phone? How do I undo this?

Your issue is completely different. You are likely using the same Apple ID on both phones, which is not recommended.
