Split Screen-Mini 13

I really need to Be able to see the screen while I'm getting directions. Does the iPhone mini 13 have the option to open two screens at a time? I need to be able to follow directions And every time I finally get to where I'm supposed to I forget what I'm supposed to do. Any suggestions?
