Auto position column on opening Numbers s/s on iPad

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to automatically position a spreadsheet to specific column (or cell would be the bees knees) when opening a Numbers s/s?

For example, in a sheet that has columns by day of the month, it would be useful if when a collaborator opens the spreadsheet if the correct day's column were selected automatically. I can highlight the column using conditional highlighting but cannot find how to position to this column automatically using the same criteria. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi SG, Thanks very much for getting back to me and so quickly too. I took your advice and reviewed the templates and found one in particular that was close to my current project. It was in the "Education" section and the template was called "Attendance".

The design of the template is similar in many respects to my project but I still cannot find a way of "position on opening' based on, say, a formula that used the DAY from TODAY to determine the start cell. If I frame my question in relation to the template I wonder if you would be kind enough to take a second look and suggest a methodology. My question for the "Attendance" template is - how do I get the sheet positioned at the correct date cell for the first named attendee based on the current date or day thereof?

If I'm being a pain in the rear just tell me or point me at a reference for dummies that would help me.
