Deactivate Screen Capture Module Icon macOS 14 Sonoma - Is it possible?

I use a screen monitoring software (Covenant Eyes) that periodically records a few seconds of my screen to create a log of my activity. In upgrading to Sonoma, I've noticed that Apple has added a purple indicator in the menu bar that pops up any time a software is capturing the screen. It's a great feature for privacy, but rather distracting when you have a software that records for about 10 seconds every couple minutes. Is there any way to not have this little module icon pop when a software is capturing the screen if I don't want it to?

Thanks for your feedback. And you’ve hit the nail on the head! There is indeed a religious brother who’s watching me, and I’m incredibly thankful for that. My screen captures (not just on the Mac, but my phone too), which I’ve willfully and intentionally opted into, are periodically sent to another Christian brother for the sake of accountability. I’m a pastor on staff at a church, and I believe I’m called to live above reproach. Using a software like this helps me live openly and above reproach in the digital aspects of my life. The name of the software comes from the Bible verse Job 31:1, which talks about making a covenant with your eyes to not look at someone lustfully. Maybe not as creepy as the media has made it seem recently; just branding to help understand the real mission of why accountability is important for some.
