MACBOOK PRO - APPLE MAIL SENT FOLDERS
Hi, please bear with me, I am not a technical-minded person, so baby steps, please. I have an email account with 123.reg, which I use via Apple Mail.( IMAP ) From day one,10 + years ago, when I sent an email via Apple mail, the sent email would always go into a folder that had the paper aeroplane icon. Whenever I went into the folder, all my sent emails were there, showing who the email was sent to.
2 days ago, I must have changed something as now, within the info3el email folder, it shows 2 sent files, 1 x main file named sent messages and 1 sub file named sent.
Another change is, each email address now has a 2 letter identification tag beside them. Which I never have before. The emails would have shown the person(s) the email was sent to. Now it shows an I, as the sender with no details on who the email was sent to ( in order to see who the email was sent to, i need to physically click into the email )
Also, the sent emails are being split / sorted into the 2 new "sent folders", some into Sent messages, some into the sub sent folder
I also noticed the old original "sent aeroplane icon" is now showing in the "on my mac" heading
Have a feeling this may have something to do with Outlook, Google Gmail etc? Could I have possibly authorised something in error?
I would love to have my old settings back, just the one sent folder with the paper aeroplane icon and all sent items in one place.
Currently running on macOS Sonoma version 14
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
