Magic Keyboard problem after update
I have been working with Apple products for over 25 years, and my main workstation is an iMac27. Recently, I updated the operating system to 13.5.2 (22G91), and after this update, the wireless keyboard has been behaving strangely:
- When fully charged, it randomly disconnects and reconnects.
- When I press the spacebar, it either selects objects or closes application windows, as if another key is being pressed. This happens sporadically and not all the time.
- Restarting the keyboard, mouse, or the entire workstation does not change the situation.
- Replacing the keyboard and mouse with different ones did not solve the problem. This led me to believe it's a software issue. I even tried connecting a non-Apple USB keyboard, but the problem persisted.
I contacted customer support, and they questioned me for over an hour before scheduling a visit to the nearest office. After half an hour, I received a call from an unfamiliar representative, not from an Apple office. Without inquiring about my problem, he suggested that I back up my data and hand over my workstation to him!!!
For over 2 weeks now, I have been unable to work properly. Please, can you provide some practical advice?
I also have a question for everyone: when an update contains bugs, who is responsible for it? Why are we forced to update the system, only to have the company wash their hands of it when something doesn't work?
