15" Macbook Pro 2018 Touchbar Display Showing Pink/Green Tints.
Hello,
I have a 15" Macbook Pro 2018 Touchbar (with Retina LED Backlit display). Recently the screen is showing pink tints over areas that should be light grey and the whites have a very slight green tint to them. This occurred randomly a few days ago under normal operation (no damage has been caused to the laptop). I connected an external display and the colours were all fine on there which indicates that is specifically to do with the in-built display on the Macbook. I did load a blue screensaver on my desktop that varies in Luma + saturation and the Blues are absolutely fine.
In addition to this I have found that after closing down pages/apps e.g. Chrome, there is a faint outline that remains 'stuck' on the screen.
After shutting the laptop down and leaving it overnight, when I boot it back up the issue resolves itself until after a couple of hours use and the problem is back.
I've attached an image that demonstrates what both issues look like
What I have tried so far to resolve the issue (nothing has worked):
1) Booted Macbook up in Safe Mode
2) Reset NVRAM
3) Updated the Macbook from Monterey to Ventura 13.6
4) Checked all display settings to ensure nothing is on an unusual setting.
Is it a case that the screen requires replacing/repairing or is there something I'm missing?
