CP1251 encoding supports within iOS 17

Hello.

After updating iOS to iOS 17, the application began to display the error Invalid CodePage (1251). On iOS 16 and earlier - everything works well. Does iOS no longer support CP1251 encoding?

  • In which app does this occur?
  • Does it happen on Wi-Fi and cellular?
  • Have you tested another rnetowrk?

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.

Hello.

The application is called - R2Farming.

Yes, of course, I tried to restart the iPhone several times - it did not bring any results.

I tried connecting to different Wifi, 4G and so on networks - it did not bring any results.

The application is guaranteed to work stably on all iPhones up to iOS 16 inclusive.

I am the developer of this application and for me so far everything looks like iOS 17 has stopped supporting CP1251 encoding.

The application is developed in the RAD Delphi 11.3 development environment, with iOS SDK 16.1. I cannot use the newer iOS SDK, since the development environment, unfortunately, does not currently support it.

The CP1251 encoding is important for the application - this is the encoding used to receive data from the server.
