How do I activate an Apple ID

Trying to sign in to my sons phone, says Apple ID not active

If you're seeing any of the following messages:


  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons"


The Apple ID automatically locked to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services. To restore access to the account, you'll need to reset the account's password: Learn how to reset your password
