TrueDepth camera Issue - Face ID has been disabled.

No wear and tear
Suddenly few days back it stopped working after software updates.
Is this a new strategy to make customers upgrade their iphones?
On Apple Store visit - representative mentioned to either have your camera replaced - (~160$)
Unwilling to buy Iphone15 or pro as it does not excites me.

Any thoughts?
